Dan Dunn: Paint Jam

In my previous post, I mentioned the artist that painted the paintings at the black tie benefit. This is one of the 3 he did for us that night. Enjoy!

Memorial weekend

Well this year our Memorial Weekend was quite eventful! Rusty is the Vice Pres of Bay Area Builders Association & this weekend was their benefit for Support the Troops. It started Thursday with a Golf Tourney, I didn't have to participate in this, but Rusty drove the beer cart! Friday night was a black tie function, that I was initially dreading, but it turned out to be really neat. I think they raised like $75,ooo which will build at least 3 injured soldiers a home valued at $300,000!!! We weren't done yet though, all day Saturday was a fundraising concert, Rusty and I both worked (a term I use loosely) there wasn't too much work but we watched Roger Craeger, Johnny Lee, Todd Fritsch, and Randy Rogers. I forgot my camera on Friday night so no fancy shmansy pictures of Rusty in a tux (or as Reagan called it a "botox"). There was someone taking pictures of the event I will try to get a picture soon. Part of the entertainment was a guy you may have seen on You Tube that paints on canvases to music, resulting in an amazing 6 foot by 6 foot piece of art. He painted 3 patriotic themed paintings that were auctioned off to raise more than $ 20,000. I captured video of one of the paintings so I will get that posted soon. As if we hadn't done enough we boiled shrimp and had our Moms over and a small handful of friends on Sunday. It was yummy, but sadly it seems as though my little buddy,Preston, wasn't tickled about Pearland. We will work on that, but I am so glad he wasn't getting sick! After the rains & our AC got up and running, the kids had a really great time swimming and playing. I have no idea why a long 3 day weekend has to fly by so fast...time flies when you are having fun!

Here we are with our new friend Johnny Lee, and he autographed the back of my shirt!Monday, we rode over and had ANOTHER swim at my mom's and the girls insisted we ride in the jeep...Happy Memorial Day!

Splashway Trip

What a great trip!

Ray, get your jammies on...

This is what you get, when you ask her to get her own clothes! I told her as I put her to bed tonight that she looked like Olivia Newton John & sang a little of "Let's Get Physical" she now wants it on her I Pod so she can learn EVERY word. I don't think she gets that I was not complimenting her on her fashion sense! Only she could be so cute in this get-up! By the way a few hours earlier the scarf was being used as a leash for the kitten!
