Thursday with Big Ra...distributed equally regardless of wealth

This may come as a surprise to everyone, but I think I would make a great president. The following are a few of the things I believe in:

~I believe that sometimes you have to fight for things you believe in.

~I believe that there is no such thing as a fair fight.

~I believe that heaven does not only wait for those who congregate.

~I believe that it is way to easy to get a divorce.

~I believe that discrimination is a two way street.

~I believe in hard work and clean living and that I should be able to decide how I spend my hard earned money.

~I believe that if you do not vote, you should not complain.

~I believe that we should ask our nation's youth their opinion on certain things...you can learn alot from a kid.

~I believe that the American indians are getting the worst end of the deal.

~I believe in John Wayne, who once said "courage is being scared to death and saddling up anyway"!

I am RD...and I approve this message.

Peace

We Did the Mash...The Monster Mash

Saturday night we went to a Halloween party at Mike and Maxine Stark's house, you would not believe how beautiful they had decorated everything! They really threw a great party and the kids had a blast. Everyone was in rare form with their costumes... I'll start with just my crew of witches and a vampire.

All of the kids were adorable though, they wore the DJ out with all the karaoke. Morgan said at point she had to take a break from all the singing, she thought she was going to lose her voice! The adults ranged from hippies to witches, from Nacho Libre to Colt McCoy, from 50's theme to pimps and Barbies & even a Hot Dog!

My favorite was Chris & Sonya & Marissa AKA Troy, Gabriella, & Sharpay from High School Musical, something about them in wigs just cracked me up! What a fun night...Happy Trick or Treating to all of you & Happy 6th Birthday today to my niece Maci!

Bunch of Losers

Friday night we went to the Knights of Columbus Hall in Pearland for their Reverse Draw. It is a $100 entrance per couple, with a chance to win $10,000! Well our whole group of friends were losers! Rusty and I were the first to get our names drawn, so we relaxed and ate and drank our hundred dollar's worth. Dennis and Alexis were in the last 5, so they were given the opportunity to split the 10 grand and all walk away with a guaranteed $2000, they passed and were the next name drawn, so they too went home losers, poor Dennis was in the doghouse! Despite no winnings, it was a really fun night...thanks to Brian and Jill for hooking us up!

Friday Funny

The Silent Treatment

A man and his wife were having some problems at home
and were giving each other the silent treatment.
Suddenly, the man realized that the next day, he would need his wife to wake him
at 5:00 AM for an early morning business flight.
Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper,
'Please wake me at 5:00 AM.' He left it where he knew she would find it.
The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM and he had missed his flight Furious, he was about to go and see why his wife hadn't wakened him,
when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed.
The paper said, 'It is 5:00 AM. Wake up.'
Men are not equipped for these kinds of contests.

God may have created man before woman, but there is always a rough draft before the masterpiece.

Wishing you a Happy Weekend...

Family Complete...at last

Our next door neighbors, Lee & Theresa have been waiting for the word to go to Taiwan and get their little baby they were adopting. Well they got the call, left on Friday and now a family is complete! For any of you that have been through adoption, or known anyone that has, it is a long process. I am so thrilled for them and I cannot wait to meet little Madeleine when they arrive in Texas! Here is a picture the proud mama sent via email this morning...

Congratulations! Wishing the 3 of you safe travels back home!

Who Rocks the Rig?

Friday night was Pearland's Homecoming game, I had to work the concession for Morgan's school so Rusty took the girls to the game. They had so much fun! I got them little mums, and they made a sign, they were in full football game mode. They also got to go into the stands and meet some of the Prancers (drill team), a great friend of mine has a daughter, Tori, that is on the drill team and the girls were totally in awe of her, so cute!If you've ever wonder how the DeBorde's may pass their time on a lazy Sunday...
Now you don't have to wonder any longer...pretty typical Sunday, I think.

Big, Fat, Ugly, Chicken Head!

This is one of the phrases that Morgan SELF proclaimed herself to be today as we waited in the Pediatrician's waiting room to get flu shots. Meanwhile, her LITTLE sister patted her on the back and assured her she would be fine, and laughed at all the names Morgan was calling herself. If her life ever gets any tougher than an annual flu shot, she's in T-R-O-U-B-L-E. I hope I don't have to see that nurse again for a good long while, even she was grinning & asked how old Morgan was! I won't file this experience under "Proud Mom Moments". This vaccination better WORK!
This photo is proof the shot didn't kill them, as you can see they are sporting the post-shot band aids. Later Morgan told me she loved me because when she was a baby I never put her out on the street. I explained that when she was a baby that thought NEVER crossed my mind, but it did today. She gasped. :-)

Slow Relaxing Weekend...Yeah Right

Well I'm bidding farewell to another weekend as I hurry to post this so I can watch Brothers & Sisters. Our weekend was jammed packed with all kinds of fun! Friday night my family celebrated my brother, Wade's, birthday. It was a great dinner and all of the kids had fun.

All the cousins: Reagan, Morgan, McKenna, Maci, &Brady

Uncle Boog...AKA the birthday boy! Happy Birthday!Saturday started bright &early for me as my friend Frankie and I Raced for the Cure,(GO Waltz's Warriors) it was really neat, but the run was hot & I still had a full day ahead of me! Go EHS for being one of the largest groups participating in the event, that was neat to see so many young Knights out there! I got home just barely in time to get Reagan dressed and pigtails in for her first ever soccer game.Taking a little break to cool off...Hangin' with the "Coach"

Way to go Ray Ray, I was really proud of her. Morgan's had a game too, it was later in the afternoon and just a little HOT! I will take some pictures of her game this weekend. She played great but their team came up short, the opposing team seemed a little more groomed that ours, we'll get'em next time.

After all the games we loaded up the kids & dogs and headed to the deer lease for some relaxation and to hook up with our friends the Halatas, whose deer lease just happens to be very near ours. We joined them for dinner at their place, and the kids ran around and played until...yes.. it actually got cool enough to put on long sleeves and jeans!!!

Sunday we tagged along with the Halatas to Hostyn,Texas for a Church Festival, it was all outdoors and the weather was beautiful, we had a great time...I only took one picture though, it is of Morgan after her trip to the face painting booth.

Gig' Em and have a great Monday, I am going to now collapse in my bed!
