Mardi Gras
Over the past weekend we decided on a whim to drive down to Galveston and check out Mardi Gras. The kids had a blast with all of the beads and a parade, there was little crowd so it was even better. Rusty's cousin Frankie was taking his kids so we met them and Rusty's mom down there for the day.
How cute are they all trying to get beads!

Thursday with Rusty
I hate to pirate other artists lines, but it has been a long week and I need a long neck to save me...or maybe a bail out! Sorry, I ain't got anything better than that this week.

So we are not a big "Valentine" Family, but it still is fun for the kids with school parties, Valentine box contests, cards & candy, etc . Even though I am not a big fan of the holiday, it is a good time to tell everyone you love them. So here it goes...I love you guys & hope you have a fabulous Valentine's Day!

Happy Birthday Maverick!
Well nearly 39 years ago, February 7, 1970, a little baby boy was born, well not that little, he weighed in at 9 pounds 3 ounces! In this blog I will pay respect to that bouncing baby boy by revisiting, as he did for me, some of the finer moments of his growing up. I especially am enjoying the plunging neckline of this school pic! Being born in 1970 must have lent itself to some sweet and stylish clothing opportunities.
Moving on the memorable and fahionable 1980's! Parachute pants & sunglasses!
Just had to throw this one in to show how muscular he was as a young man! Wow!
From Bowl cut to high school stud, or "Maverick" as he referred to himself. You may remember a movie from the 80's called Top Gun, Tom Cruise played a pilot named "Maverick". Rusty has never lacked self confidence. Even as you flip through the scrapbook that he made during highschool, (OH yes he did)you can see that he thought he had great talents and was proud of his various accomplishments.
Rusty, as your birthday approaches, know that we love you so much, we aren't laughing at you, just with you!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! We will be gone on his birthday, but I would never miss the chance to share these precious memories with all of you.
